smeaton’s planetarium - leeds light night


Commissioned by Leeds University School of Music to collaborate with 6 selected music students on a project for Light Night Leeds which was part of the celebrations of the legacy and tricentenary of the birth of John Smeaton inspired by the research of scientists from the School of Physics and Astronomy.

The result was an immersive audio visual event in the beautiful surroundings of the Clothworkers’ Concert Hall which included live piano performances. The piece was 45 minutes long and I produced short bridging pieces of ambient music in response to the students’ work to create one continuous AV piece.
